Special and Annual Meeting Information
Special SGM on Sunday, 31 May 2026, at the Clubrooms after Prizegiving.
AGENDA
The purpose of the meeting is to ratify a change to the Constitution made after the adoption of the Constitution.
The change is to add a sentence to 11.1 of the Constitution. The sentence is:
An amendment must not add, delete, or alter the Constitution rules in a way that would allow personal pecuniary profits to any individuals.
This sentence is required for our tax status as a charity.
The committee's decision to hold this SGM ensures there is no ambiguity in interpreting clause 12. Transition.
The Constitution is available on the Incorporated Societies Registrar website for no charge.
The Committee recommends that:
The following clause is confirmed as correct in the Constitution: “An amendment must not add, delete, or alter the Constitution rules in a way that would allow personal pecuniary profits to any individuals.”
